Community urged to collect their firearm licences

Primrose police appeal to community members to come and collect their firearm licences.

The Primrose police are requesting that members of the community who applied for permission to possess a firearm at the Primrose Police Station come and collect their licences.

“We are sitting with a pile of unclaimed firearm licences which need to be collected by their rightful owners,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“We have tried to contact some of the licence holders, but cannot reach them.

“We have even tried visiting them at the addresses given during the application process, but still cannot find them.”

Residents who have applied for firearm licences at the station and have not been able to collect them are encouraged to call the station’s firearms department on 011 842 0530/1 to make arrangements for collection.
