Officers fill new demanding roles

Brig Nkhensani Lemba makes noteworthy changes at her station.

After being in the same positions for many years some Germiston SAPS officers were promoted to their new positions recently.

The station commander, Brig Nkhensani Lemba, presented 12 constables with their new sergeant badges and one sergeant was promoted to warrant officer.

Eleven warrant officers were promoted from warrant officer band one to band two.

Sgt Tshililo Netshifhefhe gladly took on her new role as a sergeant at the Germiston SAPS recently when Brig Nkhensani Lemba promoted 12 constables to new sergeant roles.

“Some officers had been in the same roles for over 30 years,” said Const Maxwell Mabunda, communications officer for the Germiston police.

“Knowing that they would be filling new roles and moving into different departments was a challenge they were glad to accept.”

All officers resumed work in their new roles on April 1.
