Wrestlers tug at making a difference

Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) to host show with some of SA's best performing wrestlers to help raise funds for a living legend.

Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) will be hosting a special event this Saturday to honour Germiston resident and world-renowned wrestler Thierry ‘The French Monster’ Middoux.

The show will be held at Dinwiddie Sports Club, situated on the corner of Cheam Crescent and Ingleton Road, Albemarle, with doors opening at 5pm.

This event will not only commemorate the life of the living legend, but will also help raise funds for Middoux to have a hip replacement.

Thierry Middoux AKA The French Monster, lifted his Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) Championship belt in 2016 when he wowed the crowd with his fighting techniques at Battle of Honour held in Roodepoort on May 28, 2016.

Middoux has a wrestling career spanning over two decades and is a former HWA World Champion.

Keeping the crowd entertained by putting their bodies on the line to honour the legend will be HWA wrestlers Janneman ‘Dirty Jackson’ Lubbe, Hector Payne, George ‘Xterminator’ Wilhelm, Steve Eden (HWA World Champion) and DPW wrestler Daryl ‘Nightmare’ Naidu, to name a few.

The event will feature two title fights, so attendees are in for an action-packed night.

Tickets are R30 per person and will be available at the door.
