Woman apprehended by the Primrose police on a charge of malicious damage to property.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested by the Primrose police, last Thursday, on a charge of malicious damage to property.

The arrest was made after the accused’s boyfriend opened a case against her at the Primrose Police Station.

“The complainant alleged that he was at home when he realised that it was late and his girlfriend had not arrived home from a night out,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“He decided to go and fetch her at one of the licensed bars in Rietfontein Road.”

When he arrived he claimed he went inside to call her, but she told him to go and wait outside.

“After a few minutes the suspect came out of the bar and allegedly began to assault and swear at the victim.

“He further claimed that she smashed the rear window of his vehicle,” said Maome.
