Men nabbed following business break-in

The Primrose police apprehended two men for the possession of house break-in implements, recently.

The Primrose police recently arrested two men, aged 21 and 37 years old respectively, for possession of house break-in implements.

The arrests were made in Rietfontein Road in Primrose at 12.15am when the patrolling officers were stopped by local security guards.

“The guards reported that the shop they worked at had been broken into,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

With the information given by the guards, officers began to patrol the area in search of the suspects.

“They soon noticed the two men and stopped them.

“While searching the men, police found a screwdriver and big knife in their possession,” said Maome.

The police officers became even more suspicious when the suspects could not give a clear explanation as to why they were walking around so late at night, where they were heading or where they had come from.

They were arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
