Two men were apprehended for the possession of suspected stolen property in Primrose.

“While police were patrolling the area, they noticed the two suspects carrying a black metro wheelie bin.

“When the officers tried to stop the men they dropped the dustbin and ran into the Makause Informal Settlement,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The dustbin was taken to the Primrose Police Station.

“We are dealing with a number of cases of stolen metro wheelie bins,” said Maome.

The officers continued their patrol, during which they found the two men who they had seen earlier with the dustbin.
