Germiston FCS Unit investigates alleged kidnapping of 13-month-old in Alberton

The Germiston FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit together with the Brackendowns SAPS (in Alberton) are investigating the alleged kidnapping of 13-month-old Eden Laird.

Four illegal taverns closed by police

The Primrose police continued their efforts to curb the illegal sale of alcohol in their precinct. During a recent operation, officers visited the Makause and Marathon informal settlements where they closed four illegal taverns and confiscated thousands of litres of alcohol.

TV stolen in Dawnview house break-in

Two men, aged between 23 and 32 years old, were recently arrested by the Primrose police for house break-in and theft. The arrests were made after the complainant reported the crime to police. “The complainant told officers, while opening a case, that he had decided to visit his mother in Dawnview on his way home from work. When he arrived at her house on Association Road he discovered that the security gate and wooden front door were broken open,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Suspect fatally wounded after high-speed chase from Emalahleni to Germiston 

A suspect was fatally wounded, last Monday, by EMPD officers after a high-speed chase ended in the recovery of a stolen red Mitsubishi LDV. At about 2am in Vosman, in Emalahleni (formerly Witbank), two men broke into a couple’s Mitsubishi LDV with the intention of stealing it.
