Local salon does their bit for the SPCA

Fortitude Hair and Beauty Salon are aiming to collect as much food as possible for the Germiston SPCA.

Help Fortitude Hair and Beauty Salon, in Lambton, collect animal food to donate to the Germiston SPCA.

“We are going to be running a food drive for the Germiston SPCA until the end of April.

“We will be offering discounts on colour and blow waves in exchange for animal food,” said Gabriela Kleynhans, the owner of Fortitude Hair and Beauty Salon.

Discounts will work as follows:

• Canned food will give you a five per cent discount.

• Five to nine-kilogram bags of animal food will give you a 10 per cent discount.

• Ten to 14-kilogram bags of animal food will give you a 15 per cent discount.

• Fifteen to 25-kilogram bags of animal food will give you a 20 per cent discount.

“I really want to help the SPCA and thought this was a good way to do it.

“They do so much for the animals, they take in strays and any animal that needs help and I can only imagine how expensive the food must be.

“I only wish I could do more for them,” said Gabriela.
