Young woman arrested for business break-in

A 19-year-old woman was arrested by the Pirmose police recently for business break-in.

After closing his shop in Rietfontein Road, Primrose, for the night a store owner headed home, only to be called back a few hours later by a neighbour who said someone was robbing the business.

He rushed to the scene where he found the store’s door wide open and a crate of alcohol sitting outside.

Upon further inspection, he found that the alcohol that had been stored in the storeroom was missing.

Officers and members of the SAPS K9 Unit were called to the scene, and during a sweep of the scene found a 19-year-old woman hiding in the roof.

She was arrested and charged with business break-in.

She has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where her case was postponed for plea and trial.

“A big thank you goes to our community patrollers who assisted in this arrest,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
