Kotex releases simple to follow pad guide

Kotex South Africa, offers women insight on how to better manage their flow.

Choosing the right pad for your flow is sometimes a challenge for a lot of women which is why feminine hygiene product manufacturers Kotex, has put together a ‘pad guide’ to help with pad types, absorbency and sizes available.

All women are different and thus no woman experiences their period the same as the other and because of this, it is important for women to listen to their bodies and take note of their flows.

For example, some women say that the first day of their period consists of light spotting but then the next day it is very heavy, while for others the first day might be the heaviest and some women find that their flow increases while they’re asleep.

All of these elements have an effect on choosing the type of pad or tampon that best suits you.

Pad guide:

When keeping track of your period, describe your flow in one of three ways: light, medium and heavy. You can also determine your flow by how fast you need to change your product.

• Ultra-thin pads: They are suitable for a medium flow, protect against leakage and are a perfect fit for your body.

They come in normal and super sizes; normal-size for regular flow and super size for heavier days.

• Maxi pads: These are practical pads, useful for the busy woman who is always on the move.

They are thicker, designed for a heavy flow and they are the longest and widest pad’s offering back and side leakage.

Available in normal and super sizes.

• Panty liners: It is common for women to experience discharge during the day and panty liners are a great way to keep fresh and clean daily.

They are ultra-thin, designed to be discreet and compatible with all types of underwear.

• Tampons: Similar to pads, choose mini-sized tampons for a light flow, normal-sized for medium flow and super-sized for a heavy flow.
