Cricket action galore for local side
Germiston City Cricket Club enjoyed a weekend of action-packed cricket.

The Germiston City Cricket Club hosted the Tembisa Cricket Club at their home grounds, the Germiston City Sports Grounds, in the Saturday Second League on Saturday.
Germiston managed their first win of the weekend fixtures by knocking up 175 runs over the 139 runs put up by Tembisa.

Anthony Streicher was the top batsman of the day leading with 58 runs.
Germiston played host again on Sunday to the Vosloorus Cricket Club in the Sunday Executive League.
The team scored 216 runs in their allotted overs with Pieter Kuiper the top batsman with 63 runs and fellow teammate Divan van Aswegen knocking 36 runs.

Vosloorus only managed 91 runs giving Germiston a 122-run victory.
Their winning streak came to a halt in the Sunday Promotion League when Germiston travelled to the Main Oval in Dinwiddie, home of the Elsburg Eagles Cricket Club.
Elsburg Eagles managed to clinch a win by 4 runs winning with 79 runs over Germiston’s 74.
Gareth van Ginkel was Germiston’s top batsman with 12 runs, followed closely by fellow teammate, Donovan Smit with 11 runs.
