Man nabbed for stolen property in Marlands

Man apprehended for possession of suspected stolen property by Primrose police.

During a routine patrol of Marlands, recently, officers from the Primrose Police Station received a report of a 22-year-old man who had alleged jumped into a yard.

Police rushed to the Third Avenue address where they found that a local security guard had already apprehended the accused.

“The security officer told the police that he had seen the suspect jumping into a yard and coming out with a spare tyre from a vehicle,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The suspect was handed over to the police and he was taken to the Primrose Police Station where he was charged with possession of suspected stolen property.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
