Police target criminals in Primrose

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Thirty-three suspects were arrested by the Primrose police from October 23 to 29.

This is according to the latest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station.

The accused were arrested for several different offences.

Charges included possession of drugs, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, business break-in, rape, fraud, house break-in and theft, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, malicious damage to property, dealing in liquor without a license, reckless and negligent driving, contempt of court and shoplifting.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
