Local club in need of sponsors
The Elspark Football Club recently celebrated a victory in the Eastern Gauteng Junior Football League.
The Elspark Football Club (EFC) was established in 1946 and has been nurturing young talent ever since.
The club makes their home at the Elsburg Sports Complex in Elspark and caters to players from disadvantaged backgrounds.
It strives to teach children from six to 17 years old more about the beautiful game of football.
The club’s aim is to uplift and enhance the overall development of football, whilst maintaining the highest possible standard of professionalism within the sport through their continued commitment to player development.
EFC currently has five teams (u-11 to u-17 and a senior team).
The club’s u-11, u-13 and senior team are registered to play in the Eastern Gauteng Junior Football League while the u-15 and u-17 teams take part in the SAFA Ekurhuleni League.

Recently the u-11 team were named champions of their league when they beat the Edenvale Football Club 1-0 in the cup final, an accomplishment that the club is extremely proud of.
EFC’s committee members and coaches provide their services on a voluntary basis and while they are doing all they can to stay afloat they could use a helping hand.
The club is, therefore, appealing for any assistance, donations and sponsorships to ensure that they can continue to operate.
“We believe that a sporting mind is a healthy mind,” said the club’s chairperson Efnasi Ndlovu.
The club is also requesting assistance with donations so that they can buy trophies for their annual prize-giving that will be held on November 5.
