Cool off in Ekurhuleni’s community pools

It’s swimming time again and the perfect was to cool down on a hot day.

Many of the metro’s community swimming pools are now open to the public.

Gates to some of the metro’s swimming pools were officially opened last Friday, for the long-awaited “splish splash” season.

In preparation for the swimming season, some of the pools went through an extensive renovation process.

This included, concrete painting, repairs to tiles, expansion joints, repairing of plumbing and electrical faults and the use of cleaning chemicals amongst others.

Ekurhuleni has three types of pool categories with different facilities.
