Margaret Hirsch speaks at Standard Bank Top Women Conference 2017.

Margaret Hirsch, the COO and co-founder of Hirsch’s recently attended the second annual Standard Bank Top Women Conference, held at Emperors Palace, as one of the keynote guest speakers.

She spoke alongside other high-profile speakers, namely Dr Glenda Grey (president of the South African Medical Research Council and leader of the first clinical HIV vaccine trials in SA) and Judy Dlamini (executive chairperson of the Mbekani Group).

This annual conference draws together esteemed business leaders who are passionate about exemplifying and driving gender empowerment.

This year’s programme showcased some of the most successful stories and strategies being implemented around the development of leadership roles for women and network influencers who are serious about economy-wide progress.

Hirsch inspired the audience with her talk entitled “Empowering Young Female Entrepreneurs”.

“Having run a successful business for the past 38 years I have made a lot of money, however, I never felt fulfilled until I made it my life’s mission to empower and mentor young entrepreneurs to be able to tell their own success stories.

“It is our responsibility as business women to touch as many lives as possible and leave behind a legacy of knowledge,” said Hirsch.
