Getting to know your Primrose Sector Three neighbours

The residents of Foxglove Street get to know each other better, during fun-filled afternoon.

The Primrose Sector Three CPF is on a mission to create a warm, friendly and well-looked after sector with their new and energetic initiative,“I love my village”.

This project is led by Craig O’Farrell and aims to address:

  • Safety and cleanliness of public parks.
  • Street and traffic signage.
  • Street lighting.
  • Road markings.
  • Potholes.
  • Water leaks.
  • Illegal dumping.

The CPF has created a WhatsApp group where the community can report issues or problems they face in the above mentioned categories.

As part of the “I love my village” initiative the residents of Foxglove Street came together for a meet-and-greet afternoon.

“We all know each other from the WhatsApp group but we have not been formally introduced,” said O’Farrell.

“So the idea was hatched a few months ago to have a bring-and-braai.

“The support from the street’s residents was awesome.

“Every household contributed a salad and Top Security let us use their jumping castle,” he said.

O’Farrell believes that this event truly reflected the spirit of the “I love my village” project and encourages residents of other streets in the area to stage similar events.

“The day was awesome and new friends were made,” he said.

For more information on the initiative, future events or to join the WhatsApp group, call O’Farrell on 076 651 4922 or send an email to cacofarrell@gmail.com.
