The Katlehong police have been hard at work in an effort to curb crime in the area.
During recent operations, members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and the EMPD arrested 29 suspects.
The operation consisted of stop-and-searches, roadblocks and police patrols.

The accused were arrested for various crimes.
Charges included:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 9
- Malicious damage to property: 1
- Intimidation: 1
- Theft: 1
- Shoplifting: 2
- Common assault: 2
- Pointing a firearm: 1
- Drinking in public: 2
- Possession of drugs (including, dagga and nyaope): 10
All arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The Katlehong police will continue to host similar operations.
