Fighting crime together

The Primrose police and Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk join forces to fight crime.

Members of the Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk and Primrose police visited the Primrose East and Woodmere communities during an awareness campaign, recently.

The team handed out 400 safety tip pamphlets during the campaign.

“House break-ins, theft, robberies and theft of motor vehicles are still giving us sleepless nights in that sector,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“We appeal to our community to take care of their property, especially those who still park their vehicles on the pavements.

“Police and members of the Youth Desk had one-on-one conversations with different community members, discussing crimes of concern in that sector.

“We hope our community will take the tips into consideration and they will be helpful.”

Maome thanked the youth desk members for their hard work and dedication in helping to fight crime in the area.
