Podium positions for local club

Tebbutt's Mixed Martial Arts Academy members win silver and gold medals at tournament.

The youngsters at Tebbutt’s Mixed Martial Arts Academy recently participated in their first tournament, which was held in Kempton Park.

The IFSO Tournament tested the skills and endurance levels of the youngsters.

“Our club members who competed really surprised me,” said kanchu Alex Tebbutt.

“They brought home silver and gold medals.

“I knew they were ready to compete but didn’t expect the results they produced. I am very proud of all of them.”

In other news, Tebbutt also said the club offers junior classes for children between the ages of four and 12 years.

The classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Lambton dojo from 6.30pm to 7pm.
