Primrose SAPS address crime issues in Sector Three

Community warned against parking their vehicles on the pavement in Primrose Sector Three.

The Primrose police have received an increased number of house break-ins and thefts, theft out a motor vehicle and theft of a motor vehicle cases reported in Malvern East and Wychwood recently.

“House break-in and thefts, theft out of motor vehicles and the theft of motor vehicles still give us sleepless nights in Sector Three,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

To address these issues, the police, with the help of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk, visited the area to speak to residents and hand out safety tips pamphlets.

“Youth desk members interacted with community members, explaining some dos and don’ts.

“In addition, the police urged residents to stop parking on the pavements.

“Residents are inviting criminals to target their vehicles when they park them on the pavement,” said Maome.

The police will continue to raise awareness through similar campaigns.
