Germiston SAPS arrested two suspects in Dukathole on charges of assault on Thursday.
This came after the suspects, who are brothers, got into an argument with a man about electricity.
The suspects allegedly used a hammer to assault the victim, who sustained hand and head injuries.
“The victim reported the incident after he had been to the hospital,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.
“The suspects were then arrested and detained at the Germiston Police Station and will appear in court soon.
“The matter is under police investigation.”
