The rain did not keep supporters away or dampen players’ spirits as Germiston Simmer Rugby Club tackled it out against Alberton Rugby Club last Saturday. The match played at the Germiston Stadium was the club’s first home match in the Golden Lions Rugby Union Pirates Grand Challenge. The first teams were in action on the main field, and the wet weather meant there were a lot of handling errors from the get-go.
