Tebbutt’s Ironman Challenge a success

Tebbutt’s Academy holds a successful Ironman Challenge at the academy in Lambton.

Tebbutt’s Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Lambton was a hub of activity on Saturday, as competitors, cheered on by supporters, took part in the academy’s Ironman Challenge.

Thirty-two brave competitors participated in the challenge, which included 17 different obstacles that involved push-ups, weights, skipping and rowing, to name but a few.

“The entrants try to do as many repetitions as they can at each obstacle, with 30 seconds rest between each,” explained Kanchu Alex Tebbutt.

The event is held annually to help build the academy’s members’ stamina and fitness, as well as to encourage team spirit.

“I am thrilled with the turnout because I was worried the weather would keep people away,” said Tebbutt.

“I hope that events like this will show my students that they can do anything they set their minds to and can overcome any challenge with hard work and determination.”

The day was enjoyed by all, with no injuries.

Prize winners will be announced at a later date.
