Station commander visits local church

Katlehong SAPS continue to call on the community to help in the fight against crime.

The Katlehong police recently continued their efforts in rallying the community support in the fight against crime.

A team from the Katlehong Police Station, which included officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and Client Service Centre, led by station commander Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, together with members from local CPFs, visited the St John’s Church in the Zuma Section.

Mdlankomo engaged with the church’s leaders encouraging them to join the police’s efforts in the fight against crime.

“Fighting crime is everyone’s problem and we will always be able to do more together,” said Mdlankomo.

It is hoped that the church’s influence in the community will allow them to make a difference.

The project will also continue with the team planning to visit other churches in Katlehong.
