Local school shines at netball festival
Assumption Convent School participates in the St Andrew‘s Netball Festival.

Assumption Convent School participated in the St Andrew’s Netball Festival again this year.
There were 32 schools competing and the schools were divided into four pools of eight schools.
Assumption came second in their pool, resulting in them playing in the championship section.
Other schools competing in the championship section were Edenvale High, St Dunstan’s, Kingsridge, Eunice, Krugersdorp, Pretoria Girls High and TWC.
Overall Assumption came sixth out of the 32 schools who took part in the festival.
Marilyn Cilengi, an Assumption Convent learner, was nominated as the player of the tournament for the second year in a row.
