While at work in Shamrock Road recently, a man claims he witnessed two men rob a local business.
“The man told officers, while reporting the incident at the Primrose Police Station, that he witnessed the two men stealing a generator from a local business’ store room.
“He knew one of the men and was able to describe him to police,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Officers used the information given by the complainant to trace and arrest the 26-year-old allegedly responsible for the crime.
He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
“Officers are still searching for the accused’s accomplice,” said Maome.
