She recently celebrated her milestone 95th birthday and Germiston’s Peggy O’Malley is still enjoying life.
The special birthday was celebrated with a high tea party with her nearest and dearest.
Granddaughter Michelle van Wyngaarden Lindhout said, “We are truly blessed to have such a remarkable woman in our lives and so much can be learnt from her wisdom and years of life experience.”
Adult colouring-in books have become Peggy’s most enjoyed pastime and she spends hours creating beautiful pictures which she hands out to family and friends.
“She is incredibly loved by everyone who knows her and her two great-grandchildren, Amy and Jaden, absolutely adore their Ganna, as they call her,” said Michelle.
“Besides being her granddaughter, I am her biggest fan and no words can express how much I love her.
“So as always, my message to my darling gran is – I love you 60 000.”
