Mamba spreads some Christmas cheer

Mamba Security’s annual Christmas School Drive hit the streets of Germiston on Thursday to the delight of school children across the city.

Mamba Security’s annual Christmas School Drive hit the streets of the city for another year, on Thursday.

The project saw the team and other stakeholders visiting several schools in Germiston to thank the children from the schools for their generous donations.

“We set up big red bins at a number of schools and the children were encouraged to donate,” said Elaine Griffin, from Mamba.

Donations could be anything from non-perishable food, toys and second-hand clothing, to animal food or even furniture and linen.

Once all the donations have been collected the items will be divided and donated to a number of charities, including El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies and Place of Safety, Silkworth Recovery Centre, Prim Villa, Remme-Los, Germiston SPCA, Avril Elizabeth Home and the Elandsvallei Home for the Aged.

Schools included, among others, Butterfly Kisses Nursery School, Daeraad Pre-Primary School, Abundant Life Christian Academy, Lynn’s Pre-School, Sunnyridge Primary School, Laerskool Oosterkruin and Laerskool Die President.

The team, all dressed up, visited each school, handing out sweet treats, interacting with the children and thanking them for their generosity.

The company thanked all the sponsors who made the event possible and hopes to visit more schools and collect more goods for charity in 2017.
