Police crack down on crime in Primrose

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police recently shared their latest arrest statistics.

From October 24 to 30, officers from the station arrested 36 suspects for various crimes in the area.

Charges included possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, dealing in liquor without a licence, business robbery, common assault, shoplifting, warrants of arrest, reckless and negligent driving and possession of stolen property.

A number of illegal immigrants were also arrested.

The Primrose police’s acting station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
