Last chance to donate tinned food for the elderly

The elderly form an important part of the community and the GCN supports International Day for Older Persons, which falls on October 1.

To this end ,the GCN is collecting cans of non-perishable food to donate to the Germiston Association for the Aged (Gafa).

Time is running out to donate to this worthy cause.

The items will be handed over to Gafa on October 5, at a special concert for the elderly planned by the organisation.

The food will be distributed by Gafa to elderly citizens who need it most in their service centres.

All donations of tinned food will be greatly appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off at the GCN’s offices, at 25 Main Road, Fishers’ Hill, until October 4.
