Police nab 25

The Katlehong police continue to crackdown on criminals.

The last day of August for many signals the end of winter, but for the Katlehong police it was another opportunity to address crime in their area.

Through several operations, held throughout Wednesday, officers from the Crime Prevention Unit arrested 25 suspects in the Katlehong South area.

The suspects were arrested for various offences.

Charges included, assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of suspected stolen property, housebreaking and theft, armed robbery, malicious damage to property, common assault, trespassing, and possession of dagga.

All of the arrested suspects were expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
