Epworth receives welcome donation

The Harcourts Foundation has donated a much-needed R12 000 to Epworth Children’s Village.

Staff from Epworth Children’s Village are delighted by a recent donation from the Harcourts Foundation.

Simon Smith, owner of Harcourts Full Circle Properties in Germiston, handed over a cheque for R12 000 to Roberta Ingrato, the public relations and human resources manager of Epworth Children’s Village.

Smith said that the Harcourts Foundation decided to provide funding for a much-needed monitoring and accountability programme which the home needed.

Ingrato said that monitoring and evaluation is essential to all NPOs as funding is becoming more and more difficult to obtain.

“We need to be able to show the profitability of the programmes and to prove that we are reaching the beneficiary.

“The results based accounting system will assist with fund-raising and the demonstration of the impact of the Epworth programmes,” she said.
