Ahgie-festival a colourful affair

Fun and games at Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston’s Ahgie-festival.

Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston held a successful and colourful Ahgie-festival, last Saturday.

The day proved to be a great outing for the whole family.

The festival took place on the sports fields at the school, from 8am to 4pm.

Guests were able to enjoy a flea market with different food stalls, second-hand books and other interesting stalls, as well as a display of motor cars and motorcycles, a tea garden, a dog show by Paws, a dog show by Bidvest Protea Coin dogs, a show by a Volkspele group, a Renate School of Dancing show, and a host of local singers.

One of the highlights of the day, besides the popular House of Horrors (spookhuis), was the colour run with many youngsters coming away in all colours of the rainbow.
