Woman fights off attacker

The Primrose police arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly attacked a woman in the Makause informal settlement.

A woman from the Makause informal settlement recently opened a case of sexual assault with the Primrose Police.

“The victim told police that she was at home when a man came looking for her boyfriend,” said communications officer for the Primrose SAPS, Sgt Styles Maome.

She told the accused that her boyfriend was not home.

“He forced his way into the shack and demanded to have sex with her,” Maome added.

The two got into a fight and the man allegedly bit the woman on her breast and two of her fingers.

Officers were able to trace the suspect and he was arrested on July 8.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed.
