EMPD officers arrest man with crystal methamphetamine.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit recently received information about a house in Els Street, Elsburg, which the community suspected was being used as a drug dealership.

Surveillance was carried out on the house and its occupant.

Then, last Wednesday, the EMPD officers swooped on the premises at about 1pm, and a Nigerian national was arrested after crystal meth valued at R8 000 was found in his room.

The 28-year-old man was taken to the Elsburg Police Station and charged with possession of and suspected dealing in drugs.

He was expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court, last Friday.
