The Katlehong SAPS are searching for clues that will identify the burnt torso found in the area, recently.
“The torso was found by a community member while he was walking,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications official for the Katlehong SAPS.
When the police arrived at the scene they could not find the head, lower body or legs anywhere.
“It’s still not clear whether the body is that of a male or female, as it was burnt so badly.
“Only the arms can be recognised as a human,” said Ndobe.
Police suspect that the victim was killed somewhere else and dumped in the area.
A murder investigation has been opened, however, no arrests had been made at the time of publishing.
