The metro’s technicians are working around the clock to restore power after a transformer tripped and affected power supply to parts of Germiston North and Knights.
The municipality’s technicians are currently on site, busy with tests to diagnose the cause.
Power is expected to be restored by noon.
The metro apologises for the inconvenience caused and urges residents to treat the electrical network as actively alive at all times.
