The Germiston City News recently received a call from a Norma Court resident who was desperate for answers.
“We have been reporting a sewage leak to the metro for weeks now, but have received no assistance,” said the resident, who does not wish to be named.
The resident explained that the leak had become so bad that raw sewage could be seen across the garden.
The GCN contacted the metro to find out what had caused the leak and why the leak had been left so long and when it would be repaired and the area cleaned.
“The reported sewage leak in Primrose has been resolved and foreign objects were found in the line,” was the response of Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.
