Busy week for police

The Primrose police shared their latest arrest statistics.
From April 11 to 17 they arrested 21 suspects for various crimes in the Primrose area.
Charges included:
- Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 5
- Common assault: 2
- Possession of drugs: 3
- Attempted murder: 1
- Housebreaking and theft: 1
- Dealing liquor without a license: 3
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
- Warrant of arrest: 2
- Rape: 1
- Illegal immigrant: 1
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The illegal immigrant will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
