Thirty-five nabbed in Primrose

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police arrested 35 suspects from March 14 to 20.

The accused were arrested on several charges including;

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 8
  •  Common assault: 2
  •  Possession of drugs: 3
  • Shoplifting: 2
  • Attempted murder: 1
  • Theft: 2
  • Malicious damage to property: 2
  • Business robbery: 5
  • Possession of stolen property: 1
  • Possession of illicit cigarettes: 2
  • Illegal immigrants: 7

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
