Primrose police’s latest arrest statistics

The Primrose police arrested 34 suspects from February 22 to 28.

The Primrose police arrested 34 suspects from February 22 to 28.

This is according to their latest arrest statistics.

The suspects were arrested on various charges in the Primrose area, including:

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4
  •  Common assault: 6
  •  Possession of drugs: 3
  •  Dealing in liquor without a licence: 6
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
  •  Contempt of court: 2
  •  Shoplifting: 1
  •  Theft: 3
  •  Warrant of arrest: 1
  •  Possession of business-break-in implements: 1
  •  Rape: 1
  •  Illegal immigrants: 5

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
