Cops nab three alleged hijackers in Lambton

The Germiston SAPS recently arrested three alleged hijackers.

While out patrolling in Lambton on Thursday, members of the Germiston SAPS noticed a suspicious vehicle with three men in it.

The officers, WO Jabu Mahlaba, Const Goodman Msweli and Const Sandile Mbatha, ordered the driver of the white Toyota Yaris to stop.

“After a thorough search of the men, the officers turned their attention to the vehicle,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.

“They discovered that the vehicle had been hijacked in Kempton Park in 2014.”

The suspects, aged 29, 36 and 39, were arrested and taken to the Germiston Police Station.

They are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
