Hard work secures conviction

The Primrose police secure conviction in armed robbery case.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked Det-Sgt Sam Ngqoleka for his hard work, which led to the conviction of Richard Sibina (21).

Sibina was arrested on charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances.

He was found guilty in the Germiston Magistrates Court and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, of which four years are suspended.

This means he will spend eight years behind bars.

The convict was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

“Well done to Det-Sgt Ngqoleka for his hard work and dedication which led to this conviction,” said Vesi.

“We hope other officers will learn from this hard worker.”
