Five speedsters arrested by EMPD

Biker clocked doing 130km/h in a 70km/h zone.

EMPD officers nabbed five motorists for exceeding the speed limit, last Sunday.

The speed law enforcement operation took place between 6am and 11.30am along Nederveen Road (between Setchel and Black Reef roads).

The area is a 70km/h zone.

Amongst the five behind bars, a 22-year-old male racing a red Yamaha motorcycle was caught doing 130km/h at 6.30am.

He gave the excuse of being late for work.

The rest of the lawbreakers clocked between 103 and 115km/h.

All offenders were detained at the Alberton Police Station and charged with reckless and negligent driving.

They will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
