Elsburg sewage leak finally repaired
Residents of Elsburg want to know why the metro took so long to repair a sewage leak in the area.
A furious Eileen Els recently called the Germiston City News to report a sewage leak behind Chrisma Court in Elsburg.
She said sewage has been leaking since October last year and no repairs had yet been made to stop the leak.
The GCN sent a query to the metro enquiring what had caused this sewage leak and why it has been left unattended for so long despite being reported to the metro?
The metro responded to the GCN’s query stating that the drain had been unblocked on January 7, but no details were given as to why it had taken so long to repair.
