Free tax workshops offered to the public

The South African Revenue Service (Sars) would like to invite all interested parties to a series of free tax education sessions.

The training sessions will be held at the Edenvale Sars branch, at the corner of Hendrik Potgieter and Van Riebeeck streets in Edenvale.

The sessions are as follows:

•  Income tax basic, January 21 from 9am to 11am.
•  Income tax intermediate, January 28 from 9am to 11am.
•  Turnover tax, February 4 from 9am to 11am.
•  Value-Added-Tax (VAT) basic, February 11 from 9am to 11am.
• Small business ITR 14, February 18 from 9am to 11am.
• Provisional tax, February 25 from 9am to 11am.
•  Pay-As-You-Earn, March 3 from 9am to 11am.
• ETI, March 10 from 9am to 11am.
• E@syfile update and changes, March 17 from 9am to 11am.
• Fringe benefit, March 24 from 9am to 11am.
