A 21-year-old male driver, clocked driving at 158km/h in his red BMW 420i, at 9.30am on New Year’s Eve, caused an accident which resulted in the death of another motorist. The crash took place on the N3 southbound, between the Grey Avenue and Heidelberg turn-offs.

Schools across Germiston had a mixed-bag of 2015 matric results. While some principals were happy with the pupils’ performance, others said that there was still a lot of hard work to be done.

3. Man dies in New Year’s Eve accident: https://bit.ly/1RnZyZb

A man died in a collision on the N3 south, between Heidelberg Road and Grey Avenue, on Thursday morning. “When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found that three vehicles were involved in the collision,” explained Chitra Bodasing ER24 spokesman.

With the heatwave currently being experienced across several parts of the country, ER24 is urging people to be cautious. Many people are still on holiday and out and about. They are urged to reconsider their plans if it involves being outdoors for long periods of time.
