Man sexually assaults young girl

Parents help daughter open a case against the man she claims sexually assaulted her.

A young girl recently opened a case against a man who allegedly sexually assaulted her.

She explained to police that she was alone at her home in Devilliers road, in Marlands, when her mother called to tell her a man would be coming to repair a broken light.

At around 2pm, the 29-year-old accused arrived and began the repairs.

“When he finished he came to tell her.

“He started asking her questions and talking to her and then forced himself on her, touching her indecently with his hands.

“She managed to push him away,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

When her parents arrived home she explained what had happened and together they travelled to the Primrose Police Station, to open a case.

The accused was traced and arrested.

He was detained at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
