Primrose police nab 42 criminals

Busy week for Primrose police.

Primrose police arrested 42 suspects from October 26 to November 1.

The suspects were arrested on the following charges:

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4
  •  Common assault: 4
  •  Possession of drugs: 4
  •  Possession of stolen property: 1
  • Possession of live ammunition: 1
  •  Possession of a hijacked vehicle: 2
  •  Malicious damage to property: 1
  •  Dealing liquor without a license: 3
  •  Corruption and extortion: 1
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 8
  •  Murder: 1
  •  Business robbery: 1
  •  Intimidation: 1
  •  Pointing of a firearm: 1
  •  Theft: 4 and
  •  Illegal immigrants: 5

The station commander of the Primrose Police Station, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrest of these suspects.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be taken to Lindela for deportation.
